Mission

Rediscover Your Inner Clarity & Happiness

  • At Take Your Mind Outdoors, our mission is to create welcoming, grounded spaces where you can slow down, step outside the noise of daily life, and come back to yourself and your body.

  • Clarity, freedom, and joy are not things we have to chase - they emerge naturally when we’re present, connected, and open. Our work is about guiding you back to that place within yourself - one breath, one step, one question at a time.

Founder

Korinne Akridge, M.Ed., CFW

I spent the first half of my life lost in my head, run by my thoughts, which weren’t all that helpful or clear-minded. I suffered a lot. Eventually, I learned to work with my mind and experienced a profound shift - a sense of clarity and presence I had never known before. I was on a healing path.

Then came a turning point. After a recent bout with an aggressive form of leukemia that brought me mentally and physically to my knees, something entirely new revealed itself: lasting liberation from that suffering - not by doing more work with just my mind, but by unexpectedly inviting my body into the mix.

There’s a difference between learning to cope with our stress and trauma and truly being liberated from it. I’m interested in the latter - and it’s my deepest desire to share that possibility.
